Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge blood glucose monitoring technology for use in both home and hospital settings, including our revolutionary Freestyle Libre Flash Glucose Monitoring System.
In our Centre of Excellence in Witney, we design, develop and manufacture test strips and biosensors which are used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes.
As a result of strong business growth, industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to manufacturing and innovation in our Witney Centre of Excellence, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Quality Engineer in Calibration to join our expanding highly skilled team.
The purpose of this role will be leading a team of Quality professionals and management of applicable Quality System requirements within the QA functional area of responsibility, in accordance with corporate, divisional, and applicable regulatory requirements.
The core responsibilities of this role will include:
Manage Calibration Processes: Oversee the calibration of all equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team in calibration, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all calibration activities are performed efficiently and effectively, minimizing equipment downtime, and ensuring accurate measurements.
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, including test results, calibration certificates, and compliance reports.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance calibration procedures and team performance.
Customer Interaction: Coordinate with stakeholders to understand their calibration needs, provide updates on calibration status, and address any issues or concerns.
