Job Title: Painter QC

Job Description

As a Painter Quality Control Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality finish of ambulances. Your primary responsibility will be to use a spray gun to apply paint to the vehicles, ensuring a smooth, even coat that meets our stringent quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Painting:
  • Use a spray gun to apply paint to ambulances, following specific guidelines and techniques to achieve a uniform finish.

  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired shade and consistency.

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.

  1. Quality Control:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Painting:
  • Use a spray gun to apply paint to ambulances, following specific guidelines and techniques to achieve a uniform finish.

  • Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired shade and consistency.

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.

  1. Quality Control:
  • Inspect painted surfaces for defects such as runs, sags, and unpainted areas.

  • Measure paint thickness and ensure it meets the required specifications.

  • Conduct final inspections to ensure the paint job meets all quality standards before the vehicle is released.

  1. Maintenance:
  • Maintain and clean painting equipment, including spray guns and booths, to ensure optimal performance.

  • Keep accurate records of paint usage and inventory.

  1. Safety:
  • Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials according to regulations.

  1. Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members, including production and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless workflow and high-quality output.

  • Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a painter, preferably in an automotive or industrial setting.

  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for quality.

  • Familiarity with spray painting equipment and techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to painting and hazardous materials.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
