Certified Flagger
Classification: Temp
Job Site: Road Construction Site, Fort Meade, Florida
Starting Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Able to control and coordinate the flow of traffic around road construction site.
- Knowledge of using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic.
- Communicate with other Flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane.
- Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
- Appropriately position warning and detour signs around construction sites, setting up barricades, traffic cones to cordon off certain areas.
- Remove all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction work.
- Assist the construction crew in the removal of rubble and debris.
Flagger Requirements:
- Must be a Certified Flagger.
- Proven experience working as a flagger.
- Sound knowledge of state traffic regulations.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Exceptional observation and communication skills.
- Must report to work on time.
- Capable of performing tasks in various weather conditions.
