We are looking for a bookkeeper/tax preparer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining client's QuickBooks records, bank reconciliations, business and personal income tax preparation and providing general administrative support. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in business or accounting or 5 years similar experience
excellent customer service skills, excellent WORD and EXCEL skills, excellent Windows based file system knowledge, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of customer information.
- Download client banking records and import into QuickBooks Desktop
- Code transactions based on firm input standards and saved QuickBooks rules.
- Review and reconcile input.
- Draft correspondence to client regarding missing or needed information.
- Prepare and record depreciation and other needed monthly or year-end entries.
- Prepare draft income tax returns for CPA review
- Provide administrative support to staff members.
- Assist with data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
Five years QuickBooks experience with knowledge of financial reporting, chart of accounts, general ledger, and journal entries OR Bachelor's or higher degree with emphasis in business or accounting required.
Fluent Spanish/English speaking ability: prior tax or tax office experience would be a definite plus for this position.
Job Type: Full-time: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Experience: Five years minimum QuickBooks or Income Tax Preparation experience
Language: Excellent English.
