POSITION SUMMARY:
The Assistant Nurse Manager is a leadership position with direct and indirect patient care responsibilities. This position, working in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director of Nursing (DON) and the Health Center Administrator (HCA), is expected to develop systems of care that foster a successful clinical care team environment to ensure optimal outcomes for patients health. The primary responsibility of this position is assisting with directing the daily clinical support staff activities towards the provision of safe, high quality, and efficient primary care to a patient population diverse in age, health status, and socio-economic level. Secondary responsibilities include, providing direct nursing care to patients. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, nursing experience in directing primary care support staff, and an excellent knowledge base of family medicine primary care nursing including pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology.
[MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:]{open="" sans",="" sans-serif"=""}
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Experience: Must be a Registered Nurse with at least two (2) years experience or a Licensed Practical Nurse with at least five (5) years experience
- Licensure: Florida license
- BLS certification
- Computer literacy
