Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees, and visitors within the organization, while also ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. The EHS Manager will develop, implement, and manage programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and environmentally compliant workplace. This role involves continuous monitoring of operations, conducting risk assessments, leading training sessions, and driving a culture of safety throughout the organization. Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. EHS Program Development & Implementation: Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Continuously assess and update EHS strategies to align with industry best practices and emerging regulatory changes. Collaborate with leadership to integrate EHS programs into business operations effectively. Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments, hazard analyses, and safety inspections to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Oversee the reporting and documentation of all incidents, near misses, and safety violations. Training & Development: Develop and deliver EHS training programs to employees, ensuring understanding and compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations. Provide ongoing education and training on EHS topics, including emergency preparedness, hazardous materials handling, and workplace ergonomics. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards. Prepare and submit required regulatory reports, permits, and documentation to authorities. Liaise with regulatory agencies, as necessary, during inspections, audits, and other interactions. Emergency Response & Preparedness: Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures, including fire safety, evacuation, and spill response plans. Coordinate emergency drills and ensure the organization is prepared for various emergency scenarios. Continuous Improvement: Monitor EHS performance metrics and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting proactive safety behaviors and environmental stewardship. Lead or participate in EHS committees, working groups, and cross-functional teams to drive EHS initiatives. Leadership & Communication: Provide guidance and leadership to the EHS team and other employees on EHS matters. Communicate EHS expectations, goals, and progress to all levels of the organization. Serve as a key point of contact for all EHS-related matters. Manage the OSHA consultation program and serve as the organization s representative in all OSHA-related proceedings.
