Our Community Support Services (CSS) team provides essential services that enable our clients to thrive. Whether their disability is physical, the result of brain injury, or aging, our more than 2,000 team members assist clients in their homes and across communities, to live as independently as possible.

The opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Regional Director . Given the program’s steady growth in Winnipeg, the Regional Director will provide leadership and operational oversight of this program that supports complex individuals with brain injuries, and concurrent disorders including mental health and addictions.

Reporting to the Director of Community Support Services, the Regional Director, Manitoba will also support the expansion of our programs to meet the identified community’s needs and gaps in services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and implement program goals and activities to include identification of and meeting the community needs through programs and services in accordance with strategic objectives, policies and operating standards.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of an effective staffing plan to include quality supervision and coaching of staff, timely completion of performance evaluation, and adherence to employment and safety regulations that will ensure safe and efficient operations.

  • Effectively secure, deploy, maintain, and monitor financial and capital resources.

  • Establish strategic partnerships with consumer organizations, advocacy groups, government and other independent living organizations to help fulfill MODC’s goals in Manitoba.

  • Expand MODC services by marketing and promoting its programs to government funders, self-managed care individuals and other prospective users.

  • Participate as an integral member of the Community Support Services Management team in planning, problem resolution, quality improvement and review of service delivery

  • performance.

Qualifications and experience

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, with minimum 5 years’ management experience in the Social Services/Health Sector.

  • Strong familiarity with cognitive impairments, mental health diagnoses as well as complex behaviours.

  • People leader with proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of internal and external constituencies in a diverse community.

  • Extensive knowledge of government funding for persons with disabilities in the

  • province of Manitoba.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to write and communicate well-defined reports to management and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to analyze complex, sensitive problems and situations, evaluate alternatives and make sound, appropriate recommendations or decisions.

  • Advanced computer skills and highly aptitude for learning and using computer software.
