Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse Supervisor at our Amherstburg manufacturing site, renowned for producing Canada's leading premium whisky. The ideal candidate will energize, engage, and develop their team, ensuring exceptional results in health and safety, quality, customer service, innovation, and cost management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coaching, support, and direction to the work team.

  • Promote positive employee relations through effective management and issue resolution.

  • Ensure that the team meets or exceeds departmental and plant goals.

  • Empower employees to utilize lean manufacturing tools for continuous improvement.

  • Manage daily staffing and prioritize tasks for warehouse operations.

  • Oversee involvement in quality issues, machine capability, and adherence to work rules.

  • Optimize warehouse operations to reduce labor costs and maximize efficiency.

  • Directly manage hourly workers and indirectly oversee maintenance staff.

  • Train employees, plan and assign work, and handle employee development and discipline.

  • Address complaints, resolve conflicts, and verify payroll sheets.

  • Ensure efficient production and compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Communicate production schedules and changes to appropriate departments.

  • Implement initiatives to improve bottling and warehousing operations.

  • Complete safety and food safety audits on time and address corrective actions.

  • Maintain accurate production paperwork and databases for continuous improvement.

  • Generate and implement ideas to improve efficiency, safety, quality, and employee morale.

  • Research and implement new technology and procedures to improve operations.

  • Assist other departments with material and package quality issues.

  • Collaborate with management on safety, employee concerns, productivity, and quality.

Must-Have Skills

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-speed bottling plant or warehouse environment

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities

  • Thorough knowledge of high-speed bottling activities, including machine operations and changeovers

  • Understanding of applicable health and safety standards and BATF/excise compliance

  • Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

Salary and Shifts

  • $75,000 - $85,000

  • The work environment includes a bi-weekly rotating shift schedule with 3 shifts: Midnights (11 PM–7 AM), Afternoons (7 AM–3 PM), and Days (3 PM–11 PM).

  • Overtime is available after 44 hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $40.87/hr.
