Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a solid foundation in engineering principles and a specific focus on Chemical Processing and coatings. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manufacturing processes, particularly those involving coatings, and a drive for optimizing production efficiency and quality. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team to support production goals.
Ideal Candidates:
Possess an engineering degree complemented by skills in Manufacturing & Chemical Engineering, with a focus in Coatings.
Experienced with Alodine, Silver and Hard Coatings to provide shop floor support in order enhancing both efficiency and product quality.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:
Generate and refine process work instructions tailored for manufacturing needs, emphasizing prepping of materials and coating applications.
Collaborate closely with shop floor personnel to validate proper coverage and thickness to customer specifications.
Engage in regular communication with the Lead Engineer regarding daily assignments, and actively participate in daily meetings as required.
Core Qualifications:
An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or equivalent & relevant work experience.
1-5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with aerospace industry background in chemical processing and coatings.
Proficient in project management software, ideally Visio or MS Project, with a focus on managing procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Experience with chemical cleaning and preparation of materials prior to coating application.
U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.
Desired Other Skills:
- Familiarity with SAP, Teamcenter, or Solumina.
