Description: An Entry-Level Turbine durability/heat transfer job is currently available at Belcan in Windsor, CT. This is a full time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have turbine durability / heat transfer experience and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering. In this role you will be supporting various turbine airfoil durability assignments both analytically and hands-on in the flow lab.
Job Duties:
*Conduct turbine durability analysis of advanced jet engine airfoils using state-of-the-art PW modeling systems.
*Evaluate manufacturing non-conformances using PW modeling tools and provide acceptance recommendation to the customer.
*Review engine boroscope inspection videos and evaluate airfoil distress types and progression.
*Perform various flows on airfoils in the flow lab: new parts, used parts, commercial and military.
Required Qualifications:
Engineer with background in thermodynamics / heat transfer
0-3 years turbine durability / heat transfer experience
BS or MS Degrees in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering
3.3+ GPA
Computer experience with MS Office
U.S. citizen
Local to Windsor, CT
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Experience with CAD and some software programing is a plus
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $65,000 to 72,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
