Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in the manufacturing industry, located in Windsor, Connecticut. In this role, you will be responsible for various tasks related to accounts receivable and collections, including customer follow-ups and outbound phone calls.

Responsibilities

• Handle accounts receivable tasks efficiently

• Manage the collections process, ensuring all outstanding payments are collected

• Maintain regular contact with customers through outbound phone calls

• Conduct diligent follow-ups with customers regarding their accounts

• Manage and process sales tax certificates

• Ensure accurate records are maintained for all customer accounts

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role within the Manufacturing industry

• Proficient understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes and procedures

• Demonstrated skills in managing collections and reducing aging receivables

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations

• Proficiency in using accounting software and other related computer applications

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills for handling collections

• Ability to work well in a team setting and collaborate with different departments

• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
