Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Wilton Manors, Florida

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in Wilton Manors, Florida. The individual will be working in the non-profit industry, where they will handle a variety of accounting tasks, from processing transactions to maintaining accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate processing and verification of purchase orders received from various programs.

• Review and analyze invoices for payment in accordance with the general ledger accounts to ensure internal accuracy of financial statements.

• Enter invoice and receiving document information into the organization's accounting system following GAAP policies and procedures.

• Generate and review reports to ensure accurate information.

• Conduct regular communication with internal customers to resolve accounting issues and problems.

• Handle vendor payments and manage relationships, including resolving payment issues and anticipating potential problems.

• Conduct research on outstanding checks monthly and track, review, and monitor the program's payables.

• Assist fiscal coordinators and accounts payable staff in researching vendor statements, invoices follow-up, and vendor payments.

• Act as a backup to the Finance Clerk when necessary.

• Ensure completion of all required trainings as per Regulatory guidelines and other requested trainings by the supervisor. Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Billing is essential.

• Demonstrable skills in Data Entry and Invoice Processing are required.

• Experience with Microsoft Excel is necessary.

• Knowledge and ability to handle Purchase Orders, Check Runs, Mail Checks, Manual Checks, and Prepare Checks is expected.

• Experience in Reconciling Vendor Statements, Entering Vendor Invoices, Managing Vendor Relationships, Vendor Invoices, Vendor Payment, and working with Vendors is needed.

• No specific years of experience are required, making it open to individuals at all stages of their career.

• A willingness to learn and adapt in a non-profit sector environment is expected.

• Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity is required.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are necessary.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks is necessary.

• Good understanding of financial and accounting principles is expected.

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to make well-judged decisions are required.
