Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Level II or III Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, lockout/tagout/tryout, and automated equipment operations. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of working independently during certain shifts. Training will be provided to perform routine equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and disassemble mechanical machines and facilities equipment.

  • Perform technical troubleshooting of equipment failures to identify and solve root causes of machine malfunctions or poor process results.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.

  • Configure and repair plumbing systems.

  • Brazing tasks as needed.

  • Assist Controls and Automation Technicians with basic electrical, PLC/controls, and automation troubleshooting and repairs.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent technical training in the maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, vacuum, or mechanical systems.

  • Proficiency in mechanical aptitude and blueprint/schematic reading.

  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including 3-phase, 480 volts.

  • Experience using multimeters and volt meters.

  • Knowledge of furnace and vacuum systems.

  • Experience in facility maintenance, HVAC, repair, and service.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in shop mathematics and understanding SAE and Metric measurements.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of arc flash safety is preferable.

  • Experience with PLC/electrical/electronics/robotics systems is a plus.

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

  • Level II: Minimum of four years work experience in a manufacturing environment as a maintenance mechanic. Two years of previous technical training or coursework in industrial maintenance or industrial electronics/controls/automation through technical schools (certificate or diploma) will be credited as two years work experience.

  • Level III: 7+ years advancing position levels of applied technical experience as a mechanic or electrics/controls/electronics/automation technician working and training in a manufacturing environment. Two years of previous technical training or coursework in industrial maintenance or industrial electronics/controls/automation through technical schools (certificate or diploma) will be credited as two years work experience.

  • ITAR Compliance: Must show proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Resident.

Work Environment

The work environment is an industrial manufacturing plant setting. The shift is Tuesday-Saturday, starting at 5:00 am until 1:30 pm, though hours may vary during the training period.
