WATSON ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION CO LLC Project Superintendent in Wilmington, North Carolina

Project Superintendents are responsible to the Supervisor, or the person designated by the Supervisor, for the management of jobs and/or work orders assigned to them being performed in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company. It is their responsibility to assist in achieving the divisions aims and goals while operating within the guidelines of the company. The responsibilities set forth, but not limited to, are: General Summary: Work will consist of installation, alterations, additions and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial, industrial and residential electrical construction industry. *Responsibilities: Must be able to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy, perform a variety of duties which may change often. Must use reason and logic, perform arithmetical operations rapidly and accurately, see detail in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings, and picture flat drawings as 3-dimensional objects. Is directly responsible for work layout, and assuring that materials, tools equipment, and information are on the job site in the proper places, ahead of time. *Operations Monitor and control, by review and verification, all paperwork related to assigned jobs and/or work orders, but not limited to: Time Sheets, Production Reports, Foreman's Weekly Report, Receiving Reports, and Field Purchase Orders. Attend weekly meeting conducted by the Division Manager, or person designated by the Division Manager, to review the information on the Weekly Meeting Report and discuss upcoming workload. Monitor and control the Companys established policies concerning, but not to, the following:**

  • The Companys Substance Abuse Program.
  • Vehicle usage.
  • Hazardous Communication Program.
  • Quality Assurance Program.
  • Policies concerning suppliers.

Adherence to the Division Office Operations Procedures (Chart of Accounts). Monitor and control, by review, the reports designated in the Chart of Accounts, Instructions for Computer Reports. Engineering Preparation and bidding of small assigned jobs and work orders. Monitor and control estimating including, but not limited to, the following:

  • May be required to do re-estimates.
  • Assure the adherence to all paperwork and other procedures.

Accountable to management for, but not limited to project related general, technical and engineering problems. Production Accountable for the areas of, but not limited to, the following: Preparation and accuracy of the Monthly Job Productivity Reports. Safety on projects Security of material, tools and equipment. Monitor, control and verify productivity of assigned jobs/work orders. Check to see that assigned jobs/work orders are being done in the most efficient and economical manner. Monitor and control areas of, but not limited to, the following:

  • Wage rates, labor, training and supervision of assigned jobs/work orders.
  • Number of trucks being driven to a work site.
  • Storage facilities on job sites.
  • Use, coordination and supply of division tools, trucks and equipment.
  • Check jobs periodically to assure that the workers are starting and quitting workon time.

Position Requirements: *Licenses - Current drivers license if required by job conditions; applicable federal, state and local licenses as required by job conditions or by the company. *Certifications - Applicable federal, state and local certifications as required by job conditions or by the company. *Education - High School Graduate, holder of G.E.D., or equivalent Watson training. *Experience - Required or necessary experience and/or training to assure all aspects of position are performed efficiently and productively while operating in accordance with policies and procedures of the company. *Working Conditions:***
