Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background and knowledge of fiber optics and related equipment. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful applicant should be able to work quickly and effectively in a fast-paced environment, taking the initiative to find solutions to problems with minimal supervision.

The Fiber Optic Technician will install fiber optic cables and related heavy equipment, such as cable plows and directional drilling, and utilize various tools to complete tasks. They should be able to provide timely updates to management regarding the progress of their work and ensure that all work is completed accurately and to the highest standard. The successful candidate must have a solid technical background and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities:

Plow and directional drill optic cables

Operate various tools and heavy equipment to complete projects

Perform tests to ensure the quality and performance of fiber optic systems

troubleshoot and repair any problems that may occur

Maintain accurate records of all work performed

Adhere to all safety regulations while working

Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fiber Optic Technician

Knowledge of fiber optic cable installation and maintenance procedures

Ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment

Ability to read and interpret schematics and diagrams

Ability to troubleshoot and repair any problems that may occur

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to lift heavy objects

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Valid drivers license

OSHA 10 or higher certification preferred
