Ingleside Retirement Apartments is seeking a part-time cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff.
Shift & Pay:
- 3-4 days a week
- 9:30a-6p Weekdays
- 10:30a-6 Weekends (Every other weekend)
- Starts at \$16/hr
- 24-32 hours per week
You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen to ensure a positive dining experience for our residents. We are looking for an individual who can work EVERY OTHER WEEKEND. Competitive salary based on experience, paid time off. Applicants must pass all state-required pre-employment screening. EOE.
We are also looking for people who would be interested in doing utility work one day a week.
- Washing dishes
- Unloading the truck
- Mopping, sweeping, etc
Responsibilities:
- Prepare all served food
- Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
- Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
- Follow standard recipes and special diet orders
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cooking/culinary arts, preferably in a senior living environment
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Must have supervisor experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in teams and individually
