About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer to support the Global Operations Control Team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact

  • Support strategy and resolution of highly complex initiatives requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple operations groups

  • Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area

  • Support large-scale transformation initiatives across Global Operations Control in an effort to drive consistency and support our overall strategy

  • Monitor business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies

  • Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area

  • Engage with all levels of roles across the broader control organization and business groups, and drive execution consistency to mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies

  • Lead projects to support the Global Operations Control team as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in Global Operations and business control management

  • Thrives in fast-paced agile, dynamic environment and can track multiple, complex projects simultaneously

  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders across various levels within the organization. Experience working in a matrixed environment and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships

  • Adapts to changing priorities and excels in ambiguous scenarios with a mindset to continue moving forward.

  • Outstanding executive communication skills, both written and verbal, with a track record of presenting to senior leaders and to management committees

  • Strong judgment and confidence in decision-making in support of management risk routines, including conflict resolution and application of corporate values

  • Self-starter with a working knowledge of risk management fundamentals and translation of policy into formal programs and related workflows

  • Strong understanding of expected L1/L2 risk types and applicability across a variety of complex businesses

  • Demonstrated ability to actively lead projects/discussions, work through problems and reach decisions that are in the best interest of the function and the Company

  • Strong experience in assessing data along with advanced excel skills

  • BS/BA degree or higher, MBA or other advanced degree

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft tools

Job Expectations:

  • This position is required to be in the office 3 days per week.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
