Living Legends Health Housekeeping Aide in WILLIAMSVILLE, New York
Description
The McGuire Group's Harris Hill Nursing Facility in Williamsville, NY, is seeking a Housekeeping Aide to become a Living Legend. Under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Housekeeping Aide is responsible for cleaning resident rooms and other interior/exterior facility areas, and assisting in maintaining a clean and attractive environment for the residents according to facility policy.
Duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Clean and straighten (including vacuuming, wiping, moping, polishing, etc.) rooms, offices, and common areas; polish and remove items; ensure resident’s rooms are safe, comfortable, and maintained in an attractive manner
Cleans residents dining areas at the completion of meal service and adheres to weekly cleaning schedule of the dining area
Cleans and sanitizing rooms or other assigned areas, changing linens, changing glassware and removing debris
Adheres to all cleaning chemical hazards as indicated on supplies
Observes rules of sanitation at all times
Addresses family satisfaction issues immediately by reporting them to the supervisor in a professional manner
Recognizes, removes, and/or reports potential hazards
Observes rules of safety at all times including complying with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) guidelines for chemical use
Other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor
Shifts available:
Full Time, 7 AM - 3 PM
Pay Rate:
$15.00/hour
Requirements:
Minimum of 18 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
High degree of personal cleanliness and hygiene required
Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary
Respect for residents’ privacy and rights; display of genuine concern and empathy for the elderly
Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness and kindness
Qualities of responsibility, diplomacy and ability to work well with fellow staff members
Physical endurance for frequent activity
