What You Will Do
As our Lead WarehouseTechnician there will be no typical day. This role is primarily responsible for the tracking and distribution of small tools and equipment used by frontline crews. This position is responsible for maintaining the appropriate stock and organization of tools to ensure orders are fulfilled promptly. Please note that this position has an on call aspect as GSI is an emergency contractor. If our customers have an emergency like a landslide, that is an emergency for GSI as well and we maintain an 24/7 response environment. Additionally, we offer the best total rewards in the industry. Responsibilities
Manages inventory of small tools, parts, and equipment used by GSI frontline crews.
Fulfills orders for tools, parts, and equipment. Ensures all orders are provided to warehouse team for loading ahead of transportation schedule.
Assists with loading and unloading incoming and outgoing shipments
Unloads all small tools returns and restocks tools in appropriate location.
Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on small tools and equipment.
Assists with inventory control/audit preparation of Warehouse Department.
Performs inventory counts according to schedule.
Cleans and tests all tools prior to shipping to jobsite.
Trains and coaches other Warehouse and Logistics Technicians.
Follows all safety policies and procedures.
Maintain work area in a safe, clean, and orderly manner.
Load equipment on transport vehicles.
Other duties as assigned.
This is a rotational on call position as we are an emergency contractor and you will be required to be called in and/or stay late to complete emergency orders at any time. You must be on call 24/7 during your assigned rotation to assist with any request that need immediate attention.
Qualifications
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED certificate.
3 to 5 years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment repair.
1+ years experience in logistics, warehouse, or comparable position
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
Physically able to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
Working knowledge of software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word
Possess organization, accuracy, great communication skills and attention to detail
Must be self-motivated to initiate what needs to be done and do so without direct supervision/direction
Preferred Qualifications
College degree preferred but not required with appropriate experience- Business Management/Logistics/Management or similar
1-3 plus years’ experience in logistics/warehousing or similar area
Compensation:Salary Non-Exempt, $25-$35/hr
