UPMC Imaging Services Student Tech - Sonography in Williamsport, Pennsylvania

Exciting Opportunity for Sonography Students at UPMC Williamsport!

Are you a second-year Sonography student eager to gain hands-on experience and expand your knowledge in Ultrasound? UPMC Williamsport is looking for a motivated Sonography Student to join our team. This role offers flexible scheduling with various shifts, including rotating weekends, to fit your busy student life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Imaging Procedures : Utilize complex imaging equipment for acquiring, analyzing, reconstructing, and documenting image data under supervision.

  • Equipment Maintenance : Perform daily equipment inspections, warm-up procedures, and follow the Quality Control Program.

  • Assistance with Contrast : Help set up contrast for procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy.

  • Quality Imaging : Obtain high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety standards and protocols.

  • Patient Interaction : Assist with positioning and performing exams, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

  • Administrative Tasks : Manage patient arrivals, track exams, scan scripts, and schedule exams in the Radiology Information Systems.

  • Clinical Proficiency : Maintain and demonstrate clinical proficiency in all completed competencies and equipment skills.

Education : Must be an active second-year student in an ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or NMCTB-approved school.

Certifications :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

  • Act 33 with renewal

  • Act 34 with renewal

  • Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
