Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst is responsible for independently analyzing credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
Job Duties
- Manage commercial and agricultural loan processing in order to meet the needs of customers while, at the same time, controlling credit risk
- Independently analyze credit data and financial statements of individuals or businesses to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
- Prepare reports with credit information for use in decision-making
- Ensure completeness of credit files
- Ensure compliance with certain regulations pertaining to commercial lending
Skills and Experience:
- Associate's degree in business or a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in banking or related field
- One (1) year of relevant underwriting or financial analysis experience
- Experience working with Excel spreadsheets and other Microsoft programs
- Minimum of three (3) years working in customer service
- Proficient reading, writing, grammar, mathematical, and computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent ability to multi-task, attention to detail, decision making, and problem solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field (preferred)
