The Rare Wine Co. Logistics Coordinator in Williamsburg, New York

About Us As one of the country's most respected wine importers, we pride ourselves on delivering Europe's best wines to our customers. We are in search of an adept Logistics Coordinator who can effectively manage the inbound supply chain, ensuring seamless and cost-efficient logistics support. Position Overview: The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for organizing shipments and compiling documents for wine orders imported primarily from Europe. They will also coordinate domestic transportation, including truck and rail shipments and pier pickups. This role demands a dynamic professional who can juggle various responsibilities and collaborate closely with both vendors and our internal team to ensure timely and problem-free shipments. This is a hybrid role. Candidate must be willing to work in office 5 days per week for the first 6 months of employment - after the initial period, an option for remote workdays will be made available. Key Responsibilities: 1. Oversee vendor purchase orders: prepare, review, and route. Work closely with brand managers to resolve discrepancies. 2. Foster strong relationships with vendors: manage ready dates, arrange pickups, and procure essential documentation. 3. Maintain vigilance on shipments: track costs, timelines, and generate necessary import paperwork. 4. Collaborate with the compliance team and work together to file necessary customs entries. 5. Partner with warehouse teams: aid in inbound shipment processes and tackle inventory challenges. 6. Spearhead initiatives: consistently analyze and refine procedures for optimal performance. Qualifications and Skills: • A minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience in logistics. • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field is a distinct advantage. • Outstanding communication capabilities. • Multilingual talents, especially in Spanish, French, or Italian, are highly desirable. • Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Excel. • Familiarity with NetSuite is beneficial. • Demonstrable aptitude for time management and organization. • Robust problem-solving abilities.
