INTERMETRO INDUSTRIES CORPORATION Maintenance Technician in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania
The Maintenance Technician supports the overall function of installing, repairing, and maintaining property, equipment and machinery associated with the manufacturing process. The Maintenance Technician supports related maintenance functions including mechanical, electrical work, tool & die, building maintenance and HVAC. Candidates selected must successfully complete screening requirements and a 50-working day probationary period. We currently have a first shift opportunity. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.
Job Responsibilities
- Installs, repairs, and maintains equipment and machinery used in and supporting the manufacture of product.
- Repairs, maintains, and modifies facilities and property.
- Works with other craftsman in support of ancillary functions such as machine maintenance & repair, fixturing, electrical work, tool & die work, building maintenance or HVAC.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Cleans and maintains work area.
Must be available to work overtime as business needs dictate.
Basic Qualifications
- Two-year degree in Industrial Maintenance or Mechatronics
- Relevant or equivalent experience in maintenance may be substituted for education or training.
- Maintains regular attendance
- Experience working in a team-based environment
