The Fleet Administrator provides customer service to McCarthy Tire Service locations, maintains accurate vehicle records, and carries out the day-to-day activities needed to support the fuel, registration, toll, rental, and telematics programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer service to McCarthy Tire Service locations by processing requests, distributing reports, answering questions, and issuing communications.

  • Manages vehicle inventory and ensures proper store and driver assignment; updates fleet systems and maintains data integrity through audits and quality checks.

  • Coordinates assignments for new vehicles/transfers/retired vehicles and arranges transportation as needed.

  • Tracks vehicle expenses and operational key performance indicators.

  • Measures and monitors vehicle and fuel utilization.

  • Maintains vehicle registration requirements (including permits, IRP, IFTA) and facilitates renewals.

  • Approves and tracks rentals.

  • Coordinates the installation and removal of telematic devices and safety cameras.

  • Issues and updates fuel card and toll transponder assignments.

  • Monitors compliance with policies and issues notifications to teammates and managers.

  • Codes and submits invoices for approval, records expenses in fleet management system.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in business administration, operations management, or transportation/logistics.

    1-3 years fleet management experience

    Organized, self-motivated, and customer-focused

    Computer proficient including MS Excel
