ASM Global Human Resources/ Payroll Designee in Wildwood, New Jersey
Summary
ASM, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Human Resources/Payroll Designee at ASM/Wildwoods Convention Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintains compliance with state regulations concerning employment.
Follows ASM Human Resources policies to assure compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
Processing a weekly payroll cycle as well as maintaining employee records.
Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401K, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
Responsible for recruiting, screening and new hire orientation.
Investigate all accidents and prepare reports for our insurance carrier.
Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Advises the corporate office of EEOC complaints and other employee relations problems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises administrative employees in the Human Resources Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university
2 to 3 years related experience and/or training
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience administering benefit programs
Strong Payroll background
Skills and Abilities
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills essential
Familiarity with COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations required
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient In Word and Excel. Experience with ADP or HRIS software payroll systems required. Workday experience preferred.
Other Qualifications
Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends and holidays, as needed
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
