SUMMARY:

Performs various inspections to ensure product meets engineering requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned as required or needed.

• Inspects Window Belt assemblies for dimensional accuracy and ensures product meets engineering and specification requirements (i.e., sealant application, fastener requirements, skin quality, etc.)
• Performs quality checks/tests on products at various stages of production.
• Completes documentation per company procedures.
• Sealant Certification required.
• Completes FAI documentation as required.
• Identifies and handles nonconforming product per company procedures.
• Office responsibilities as designated.
• Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; blueprint reading; shop math; ability to read and properly use most precision measuring equipment; ability to make determinations on products meeting engineering, specifications and guidelines; proficient in MS Office software.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate problems or concerns to management.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic shop math and ability to read measuring instruments.

REASONING ABILITY: Good logic and ability to make sound decisions; attention to detail. Maintain a professional work atmosphere by being courteous, respectful and non-interfering with customers, co-workers, and management.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Internal Sealant Certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ambulatory position as workload demands; ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds; may be required to stand for extended periods of time; ability to perform moderate repetitive movements that require good use of hands/arms.

Visual acuity of 20/30 at 20 Foot Minimum corrected or uncorrected for at least one eye.

Acceptable Jaeger No. 1 near visual acuity, at a distance of 12 inches corrected or uncorrected for at least one eye. A record of color perception capable of distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the processes involved.

Production area is climate controlled, concrete floors, moderate noise levels and fumes, but adequate ventilation is provided.
