Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for various tasks in a dynamic warehouse environment. You will be on your feet for the entire 8+ hour shifts, working with handheld devices such as RF Scan Guns to enter and code information needed for work orders and part numbers. This position is ideal for individuals with at least 6 months of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate handheld devices, including RF Scan Guns, to input and code necessary information.

• Work on your feet for the entire shift, performing tasks such as shipping, receiving, sorting, and inventory control.

• Push, pull, and lift at least 40 lbs regularly.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure proper handling of materials and products.

• Perform general labor tasks, including picking and packing orders.

• Ensure the warehouse area is organized and clean.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

• Ability to pass a math and matching numbers test with at least 70%.

• Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment.

• Ability to stand on concrete for long periods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with shipping, receiving, general labor, sorting, picker/packer, RF Scanner, and inventory control.

• Candidates must have recent experience in a similar role.

• Comfortable working overtime and on weekends if necessary.

Work Environment

The warehouse is located onsite at a large facility, encompassing around 400,000 sq. ft. The team is composed of approximately 350 people. Employees are required to wear jeans and safety/composite toe shoes or boots. The work environment is not climate-controlled, so be prepared for varying temperatures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.50
