We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Storeroom Assistant with our Chemical Manufacturing Facility located in Wichita, Kansas.

Essential Job Duties

The Storeroom Coordinator is a key member of the Maintenance Storeroom and the plant Receiving and Disbursement Processes. The position reports to the Storeroom Supervisor.  It is tasked with executing security of all Storeroom assets, correct representation of Storeroom inventory for financial reporting, and the replenishment and expediting of Storeroom requisitions/orders. The role supports the plant operation by having needed parts available for the safe and reliable operation of the production units.

Responsibilities:

·         Implement Health, Environment, Safety, and Security (HESS) programs for the Storeroom to achieve our plant goal of zero injuries, zero environmental releases, and security of all company assets, employees, contractors and delivery personnel.

·         Execute the receipt and shipment of MRO materials to and from the plant per all applicable procedures and pertinent regulations.

·         Execute the requisition, expediting, receiving, inventory, and disbursement processes consistent with Storeroom SOPs, the PSM System, the ISO Quality System, and the Financial Control System.

·         Tracking and reporting on status of plant critical spares, repairable stock equipment, consignment inventory with vendors, and other critical management reporting tools for successful Storeroom operation.

·         Execute stores inventory cycle count process, investigating any discrepancies.

·         Reduce unnecessary stores inventory and minimize the financial impact of unnecessary or slow-moving inventory.

·         Execute security practices and procedures to minimize the risk of loss (theft or unaccounted disbursements) and accurately state the asset value of the Storeroom inventory.

·         Execute and identify improvements in work processes, procedures, and practices for an efficient and professionally managed Storeroom and Warehouse.

·         Provide training for other Storeroom employees, contractors, and vendors.

·         Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision.

Qualifications

·         High School Diploma or GED required.

·         Ability to read, write, and speak in English.

·         Self-motivated and demonstrated ability to plan and organize work to accomplish tasks.

·         Ability to use a computer and Microsoft Office applications for essential business communications as well as to use SAP software to execute the receiving process, storeroom inventory and cycle counting process, and disbursement process.

·         Ability to be qualified on operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment including possessing a valid driver’s license.

·         Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays to meet business needs.

·         Physical requirements include lifting of up to 40 lbs., climbing stairs and ladders, and bending, stooping, and walking on concrete floors for much of the day.
