We are looking for outstanding individuals to join the culinary team as a Sous Chef. You will make a difference in the lives of residents by assisting the Chef to oversee culinary operations. This includes support in menu planning, food preparation, safety and sanitation. The culinary team enhances Legends Gold Leaf Dining experience, which sets a high standard for atmosphere and food quality.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS of this position would include but not be limited to:
- Oneyearexperience in acommercial kitchen as a line cook required
- High school diploma or GEDrequired
- Current food handling licensesas required by the state
- Prefer culinary training
- Prefer prior experience as a sous chef
RESPONSIBILITIES of this position would include but not be limited to:
- Assisting the Chefin menu planning, food preparation, inventory, documentation and scheduling
- Preparing foodin accordance with the planned menu, noting changes when applicable
- Ensuring all cooking, serving, storage, preparation, and service areasare clean, safe and organized to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
- Monitoring quality food servicein accordance with Legends Gold Leaf Dining standards
- Leading the kitchen environmentin the absence of the Chef
- Communicating effectivelywith residents and staff
- Adhering to company policies, procedures and safety guidelines
