Description
We are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join our team based in Wichita, Kansas, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for the preparation and review of various tax returns, financial statement preparation, bookkeeping services, and payroll services. This role also involves conducting tax research for complex tax matters and client transactions, and providing training to staff in tax and audit functions. Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review corporate, partnership, trust, not-profit and individual tax returns
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements
• Manage bookkeeping services
• Supervise payroll services
• Train staff in tax and audit functions
• Conduct tax planning for various business entities and individuals
• Perform tax research for complex tax matters and client transactions
• Utilize various tax and accounting software to facilitate tasks
• Work on multiple projects and tasks independently under pressure
• Handle confidential information with discretion
• Use accounting software systems and accounting functions to streamline processes
• Perform audits and prepare individual tax returns
• Work with S-Corps, C Corp, and Partnership Tax Returns
• Handle Federal Income Tax, Federal Income Tax Return, Income Tax Accounting, and Income Tax Compliance tasks.
Requirements • Candidate must possess at least 5 years of experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Demonstrated experience in handling various Accounting Functions.
• Ability to conduct Auditing tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Experience in preparing Individual Tax Returns.
• Knowledge of S-Corps, C Corp, and Partnership Tax Returns is essential.
• Familiarity with Federal Income Tax and Federal Income Tax Return procedures.
• Proficiency in Income Tax Accounting and Income Tax Compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
