Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist with a minimum of 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be able to perform their own set-ups and runs on the machine, and should have a strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and blueprint interpretation. Familiarity with Fanuc Controls is essential, as the role requires immediate proficiency with minimal training or direction.

Responsibilities

• Perform set-ups and runs on CNC Mill machines.

• Utilize height gauges, calipers, and micrometers effectively.

• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

• Operate and manage Fanuc Controls at the machine.

• Work with Haas, Kia, and Doosan brand machines.

• Handle 3-axis milling and mill turn lathe operations.

• Run a cell of two machines efficiently.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a CNC Mill Machinist.

• Proficiency in performing set-ups and runs on CNC machines.

• Strong understanding of height gauges, calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.

• Experience with Fanuc Controls.

• Ability to work with 3-axis mills and mill turn lathes.

• Capability to provide own tools is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Haas, Kia, and Doosan machines.

• Knowledge of G Codes and M Codes.

• Experience in mill turn operations.

Work Environment

This CNC machine shop environment is a major supplier for leading companies. With around 50 employees, it offers a smaller, close-knit work setting. The first shift operates from 7am to 3:30pm, with potential overtime available earlier in the mornings and on Saturdays from 7am to noon. The dress code includes jeans, a T-shirt, and steel-toed shoes, promoting a comfortable yet safe working atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00
