BCForward is currently seeking a highly motivated Curriculum Developer II in Wichita KS.

Duration: 2 years

Job Type: Contract (40 hrs a week)

Pay Rate: \$35 - \$37.18/hr

Job Description:

MAJOR PURPOSE:

Develops training curriculum and performance improvement materials on more complex products, processes, or systems through contributions and participation in a systematic development process. Collects and organizes content from various stakeholders by collaborating with intra- and inter-departmental stakeholders. Facilitates the handoff process from development to delivery. Operates independently or as part of a team from the initiation through the completion of a project. May serve as a mentor/coach for less experienced employees of similar position.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Description of the major duties performed in this job.

Develops or project manages training or performance improvement materials in support of products, processes, or systems. Directs vendors as they develop training or performance improvement materials.

Applies knowledge of and expertise in an effective curriculum development process to ensure performance gaps are addressed in an analysis phase and contributes or may lead in the design of the performance improvement solution.

Creates and implements a short term/long term training plan by working with various stakeholders in supporting products, processes, and systems.

Fosters relationships with inter- and intra-departmental stakeholders to secure resources needed for development and obtain feedback on performance improvement materials.

Assists in the transition of developed materials to the group responsible for delivering the materials.

Assists in marketing efforts of performance improvement materials to their intended audiences.

Mentors less experienced curriculum developers.

Top 3 Skills:

1. Strong candidates will have Agriculture/Automotive/Marketing or Training Development background

2. Strong candidates will have experience with Articulate/video creation/creative projects and editing but will be trained

3. Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to manage meetings with subject matter experts, meet deadlines and understand a variety of products and systems

Additional Skills:

* Education - Degree in Marketing/Communications/Training/Business preferred but not required

* Equivalent experience can substitute for Education/Degree

* Position available to recent college graduates

* May be required to present training to larger audience about 25% of the time or more

* Capacity to work with different topics and teams, understanding their specific needs and adapting communication styles accordingly

Position Details:

* Expected work duration each week is 40 hours, on occasion more

* Local candidates in Wichita (KS) are preferred

* Develop strong engaging training content to enable dealers to better support customers and improve bottom line performance

* Primary focus of work will be on John Deere dealership parts professionals but will also include company personnel and customers. Content will provide solutions to help dealers better support their customers and sell more parts and service, by providing product knowledge and pro essional skills for John Deere Ag and Turf dealership employees.

* Determine and develop the appropriate method and media of the training using sound instructional design and adult learning principles

* Modifies content, delivery, or environment based upon evaluation findings

* Maintains or facilitates the maintenance of electronic repository of learning content objects and data files

* Will present project information to stakeholders and possibly execute training delivery throughout portions of the year

Tasks/Responsibilities:

* Project management/Create Training Content - Ability to successfully manage and execute multiple projects assigned at once, while meeting deadlines

* Collect, edit, and produce training media inclusive of video, audio, and still photography (as needs arise)

* Develop, review, and publish training content for multiple projects

* Work with outside vendors as needed for projects to be completed

* Review supplied reports and data - analyze training reports, NPS scores, training feedback comments, and summary reports of projects to improve as suggested

* Manages storage locations for files, videos, and content to be able to share and make accessible for others

* Presentations - present project details/content/timelines to John Deere stakeholders

* Training content delivery - From time to time may be required to serve as an instructor to deliver training
