Job Title: CNC Grinder and Manual Machinist

Job Description

Produce parts to customer specifications via CNC grinder, manual grinding, and/or polishing. Ensure quality standards are met as required by quality specifications. Follow dashboard to ensure customer orders are completed in a timely manner with respect to priority. Partner and communicate with management on problem resolutions. Ensure accurate data entry for programming the CNC Grind machine. Complete paperwork as required by company and processing guidelines. Maintain a clean work area at all times. Ensure proper PPE is worn and safety guidelines are followed. Ensure all hazardous waste materials are disposed of correctly. Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with grinder, Bridgeport, jig, horizontal lathe, and centerless grinding.

  • Experience with CNC grind, CNC machining, and CNC programming.

  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately.

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to perform precise measurements.

  • Ability to do own set-ups on manual machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with centerless machines.

  • Ability to program dimensions.

  • Strong communication skills for partnering with management.

Work Environment

Will be working with a team but needs to be an independent worker. The role involves working with both modern CNC machines and very old manual machines. The work environment requires adherence to safety guidelines and proper use of PPE. The machinist will maintain a clean work area and dispose of hazardous waste materials correctly.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00
