Aerotek Aircraft Mechanic in Wichita, Kansas
DOD Program in Wichita, KS - Defense Assembly Mechanic
Description:
Perform sheet metal and composite assembly for the production of the stealth aircraft, fighter jets, or military helicopters
Complete riveting, drilling, and countersinking to install components and fasteners for the fuselage
Complete sealing of aircraft structures and components
Self-inspect components and assemblies, including frames and skins, performing rework when necessary
Other duties may be assigned
Requirements:
Active Secret Clearance
Tools are NOT required
Pay:
Rate: $45.00/hr
OT: $67.50/hr
Per Diem split for those who qualify - $24.25/hr taxed + $20.75/hr untaxed
Work Schedule:
Must be flexible on shift – contractors will be split between 1 st , 2 nd , and 3 rd
We could let them know you’re not able to do 2 nd shift
Placement:
12+ month Contract, with strong potential for extension
We have current contractors that have been out there over 2 years at this point
There will be opportunities to go direct if you’re interested, normally around the 6-month mark

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $58.75
