J OB SUMMARY:

This position involves the creation and support of engineering procedures anddocuments across a wide variety of engineering disciplines.It also entails the entry ofaircraftconfiguration changes andthe collection andmonitoring ofrelatedkey metrics.Coordination and cooperation with non-engineering groups and organizations whose processes are shared by, or interface with,these functions will also berequired.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interface with engineering teams to understand and documentnew and existingbusiness processes andidentifycommon points of intersection between groups and teams.

  • Coordinate with non-engineering teams tounderstand shared information between teams and work to improvealignment between the two.

  • Work with engineering teams to audit existing procedures and capture ideas and opportunities for improvement.

  • Receives, reviews, and dispositions supplier documents to ensure they are correctly entered and approved in the engineering data repository.

  • Interface with Integrated Supply Chain and Quality organizations toresolve issues and ensure theirsupplier documentneeds are supported.

  • Performs data correction and alignment tasks tocomply withand improve the supplier documentchange controlprocess.

Qualifications

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE :

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Technology, or related program

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Professional and collaborative demeanor

  • Comfortable working with individuals and in team-based environments

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Willingness to become familiar with other software and process-related tools

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
