Please note this is an afternoon shift position working from 3pm to 11:30 pm.

The EHS technician is responsible for implementing and maintaining regulatory requirements. This role involves daily collaboration with personnel to ensure the Facility meets Lenovo’s environmental, health, and safety goals.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform tasks related to the EHS Program.

  • Be familiar with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and NC regulations.

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly site inspections.

  • Assist with and conduct site EHS training.

  • Recognize hazards and ensure compliance with safety programs and standards, including:

  • Powered industrial trucks

  • Hazard communication

  • Ergonomics

  • Slip/trip/fall prevention

  • Fall protection

  • Hot work

  • Industrial hygiene (IH)

  • Lockout/tag-out (LOTO)

  • Machine guarding

  • Power and hand-held tools

  • Electrical safety

  • Emergency shower and eyewash stations

  • Chemical management

  • Provide hands-on EHS expertise to warehouse and production staff.

  • Identify workplace safety hazards and conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA).

  • Maintain and implement site-specific EHS policies.

  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste, including proper handling, labeling, and storage.

  • Monitor waste and recycling areas for compliance.

  • Order and maintain spill supplies; clean up spills as necessary.

  • Assist with hazardous waste storage management.

  • Conduct accident investigations.

  • Collaborate with security personnel during emergencies (e.g., tornado, fire, medical).

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ERT/Safety Observer/First Response Teams.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in an EHS role or an associate degree.

  • Experience with health and safety plans and policies.

  • Experience with forklifts, lifting straps/slings, and fall protection.

  • Emergency response experience.

  • Current First-Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain quickly.

  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

  • Experience in a production and warehouse environment.

Available pay for this role is $24.69 per hour, and includes PTO, Paid Holidays, Available Health Insurance, and more.

Pay Details: $24.68 per hour
