POSITION SUMMARY:
Candidate must be able to install, repair and maintain machinery, mechanical and electrical equipment such as electrical controls, electrical/servo motors, pneumatic, hydraulic, robotic and Programmable Logic Controller equipment. Preferred Candidates will have knowledge on Hurco CNC mills, DMG CNC mills, GF EDM sinkers, and Methods Feeler CNC milling machines
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to Maintenance & Facilities Manager and support the operations group in the shop.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Install, repair and maintain machinery
- Install, repair and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment such as electrical controls, servo motors, pneumatic, hydraulic and robotic as well as Programmable Logic Controller equipment.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment such as robots, 5 axis machines, presses, and Programmable Logic Controllers.
- Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment
- Diagnose and test malfunctioning apparatus such as 5 axis machines, transformers, motors, controls, lighting fixtures and replace broken wires cables and parts.
- Diagnose and repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as printed circuit boards.
- Replace electric motor bearings and rewire motors
- Program automated machinery such as robots and PLC's; test for malfunctions and verify repairs.
- Communicated tasks completed to team leaders and supervisors before leaving area.
- Plan layout of wiring, install wiring, conduit and electrical apparatus in buildings
- Diagnose and replace faulty electrical hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must have successfully completed formal training in basic electrical theory.
- Knowledge of 110/220/440 volt systems, and lower DC control voltage
- Knowledge of electrical theory, electrical code and trade practices
- Schematic reading
- Ability to use basic test equipment
- Knowledge of low voltage controls.
- Advance controls - ability to troubleshoot start circuits, etc.
- Some troubleshooting for 24V equipment and analog systems
- Basic instrument testing, including valve positions and operational simulation etc.
- Ability to perform basic calibrations
- Basic PC skills
- Advanced troubleshooting of both instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Knowledge, troubleshooting and repair of AC and DC drives and controls.
- CNC Machining Centers, Fanuc Controls, Siemen's, etc.
- Installation and setup of PLC's
- Ability to wire integrated systems from more advanced wiring schematics
- Knowledge of relay logic
- Familiar with data highway
- Ability to safely work on any equipment in the plant
- Ability to lay out own work with minimal direction
EDUCATION: The right candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience working on CNC equipment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of Hurco CNC mills, DMG CNC mills, GF EDM sinkers, and Methods Feeler CNC milling machines is preferred. Willing to travel to offsite training facilities to further education and repair techniques is required.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $23.00- No maximum hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements, among other things.
