Position Summary
The Project Engineer will lead and manage small to medium scale engineering projects at our state-of-the-art food manufacturing plant and play a role in operational strategic development. The candidate will possess a background in engineering principles, project management, and food production processes. This position is critical for team and plant development by ensuring engineering projects are executed efficiently, meeting quality standards, aligning with the company’s strategic goals and plant success criteria.
Primary Responsibilities
Work with other departments in defining the complete project scope and developing cost estimate
Assist the Capex Project Manager in preparing the Capital Project Request (IAR) if required
Develop and manage detailed project timelines (Gantt)
Upon successful startup and operator training, hand off project and continue to support the process owner during transition
Delivering the project on-time and on budget, meeting or exceeding the product quality

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Food Engineering, or a related field)
3+ years of project and process engineering experience in food manufacturing or a related industry
Track record of learning new product-specific processes and leading engineering projects, with strong knowledge of general manufacturing processes and technologies
Familiarity with food safety regulations and quality assurance standards a plus (e.g., FDA, USDA, SQF)
PMP or equivalent project management certification is a plus
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in project management software and engineering tools
