West Virginia Employer Room Attendant in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia

Position:Room Attendant Department:Housekeeping Primary Responsibilities : Perform Daily Maid Service at the standard detailed in the Standard Operating Procedures including the functions of: Change all linen daily Clean bathroom Dust all wooden surfaces Clean and/or vacuum all floors Replenish amenities Return guest room amenities, furniture & furnishings to designated locations Tidy the guests personal belongings (i.e. clothing, shoes, toiletries, etc.) Secondary Responsibilities : Respond to varying special requests, including: Emergency clean up Providing additional requested amenities or furnishings Communicate with guests regarding directions, providing descriptions of hotel amenities and facilities Normal Working Hours : Must be available Sunday Saturday & all holidays In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria Past Work Experience Requirements : Housekeeping experience in hotel or professional work environment preferred. One year consecutive work history showing dependability& commitment to the job, OR If a candidate has no work history within the past year, dependability and commitment can be demonstrated through non-paid activity or involvement such as school, extracurricular activities or volunteering. Satisfactory performance and attendance with 5 or less absences per year. Educational Requirements : High School Diploma or G.E.D.required Communication Skills Requirements : Ability to effectively communicate with internal & external customers. Ability to quickly solve and respond to problems Technical Requirements : None Required Supervision : Directions given by supervisor Ability to follow directions Must work independently Other Requirements : Must be flexible Must have a neat & clean appearance Must be able to perform all phases of cleaning. Ability to handle pressure & deadlines. Must be able to organize & plan tasks. Must be able to work harmoniously with co-workers.
