Here is what you will be doing each day:

As a Nail Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle trimming, and hand/foot massages.

  • Apply nail polish, gel polish, and other nail enhancements (e.g., acrylics, dip powder).

  • Create custom nail art based on client requests and current trends.

  • Provide nail repair and maintenance services as needed.

  • Educate clients on proper nail care and suggest appropriate treatments and products.

  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are properly sterilized before use.

  • Stay current with nail industry trends, techniques, and products to offer the latest services.

  • Upsell salon products and services to enhance the client experience.

  • Build lasting relationships with clients through excellent service and attention to their preferences.

  • Assist in maintaining salon cleanliness and assist other team members as needed.

  • You should excel in guest interactions, promptly identifying and resolving any issues that arise. Flexibility and a willingness to assist colleagues as needed are crucial, demonstrating a strong team-oriented approach. Building and maintaining positive relationships with associates and guests is key.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state cosmetology or nail technician license.

  • Proven experience as a Nail Technician, with a portfolio of nail designs and services.

  • Proficiency in various nail techniques, including but not limited to acrylics, gels, nail art, and extensions.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide precise and high-quality work.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Knowledge of sanitation and sterilization standards and practices.

  • Creativity, passion for the beauty industry, and a willingness to stay updated on the latest trends.

For applicants who will be working in NYC, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $16.00 per hour; for applicants who will be working in New York, the anticipated compensation range for the position is $16.00 per hour. The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, work location, etc. Crescent Hotels is a multi-state employer and the salary ranges indicated herein may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
