Junk Out Inc. Snow Removal Technician in White Plains, New York
Snow Removal Technician - 3 fulltime, temporary, seasonal (H-2B) jobs available 10/01/2024-3/31/2025.
Employer: Junk Out Inc, 20 Tinker Hill Road, Putnam Valley, NY 10579.
Duties: Shovel and plow snow, grounds maintenance, and other duties as assigned related to facilities and road maintenance. Potential for fall and spring cleanup. De-icing and removal of snow from walks, driveways, and parking lots for various residential and commercial properties. May drive vehicle.
Special Requirements: Must lift/carry 50 lbs., when necessary. Saturday and Sunday work required, when necessary. Work hours may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions. Must be able to perform manual, physical labor outside during all weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, snow, etc.).
Work days: typically M-F, 8am-5pm, 35 hours/week at $20.81/hour. OT possible at $31.22/hour. Work hours may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime during emergencies and winter storm conditions.
No minimum education or experience required. Employer will provide on-the-job training.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Saturday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made. Employer may make further deductions not required by law with approval and consent of the employee (must comply with NYS Miscellaneous Wage Order).
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
Employer to provide company-specific uniforms at no cost to the worker. Employer will pay each worker $18.65/weekly uniform maintenance allowance payment.
Employer will provide vehicle and insurance for personal use at no cost to the employee.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.88/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
