DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Production Associate – Level II to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Whitakers, NC.

Education/Experience
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Additional Information:
Receiving Materials:
Unloading incoming shipments, checking them against purchase orders, and verifying the accuracy and quality of the materials received.
Inspecting materials for damage and reporting discrepancies or defects.
Storing Materials:
Organizing and storing materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
Ensuring that materials are stored safely and according to company procedures.
Inventory Management:
Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring that materials are properly labeled and tracked.
Conducting regular inventory audits and reporting any discrepancies.
Material Handling:
Moving materials between storage areas, production areas, or shipping areas using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
Ensuring that materials are handled safely to prevent damage or injury.
Order Picking and Packing:
Picking materials according to work orders or customer orders and preparing them for shipment.
Packing materials securely to prevent damage during transit.
Shipping:
Preparing materials for shipment by labeling, packaging, and documenting them according to shipping requirements.
Coordinating with shipping companies or logistics providers to arrange for transportation.
Equipment Maintenance:
Performing routine maintenance on material handling equipment and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
Ensuring that all equipment is operated safely and according to company guidelines.
Safety Compliance:
Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Participating in safety training and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining accurate records of materials received, stored, and shipped.
Preparing reports on inventory levels, material usage, and other key metrics as required.
Collaboration:
Working closely with other departments, such as production, purchasing, and shipping, to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the facility.
Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate material handling activities.
