Senior Product Lead

Data-Driven R&D is at the core of Bayer´s Pharmaceutical R&D venture. As a Senior Product Lead with Bayer, you will drive the digital transformation of R&D by translating our R&D strategy into value generating digital products.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities for this role Senior Product Lead are to:

  • Architect value driving digital products by analyzing, understanding and translating our R&D strategy and respective R&D capabilities;

  • Bring in a clear, unbiased perspective on industry digital trends and best practices in the clinical space, to aid in shaping a robust digital strategy and roadmap at Bayer aligned with business goals;

  • Possess a cross-functional view on our system landscape & data assets. Envision, connect and bring forward our data science capabilities with your Data Science & AI colleagues for the broader RD community;

  • Catalyze the implementation of digital products by working with and coaching of product teams, while communicating with multiple and senior stakeholders across Bayer R&D and adjacent functions;

  • Define value and business cases and respective budget demand, understand and manage parts of the R&D digital budget, and drive the concept of “Total cost of ownership” for key systems and digital landscape;

  • Collaborate with IT and external partners to build and run cost effective solutions and respective products & systems that integrate into our technology landscape.

WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in a scientific discipline;

  • Long-term experience in R&D, preferably pharmaceuticals with deep understanding and knowledge of pharmaceuticals processes;

  • Proven experience in architecting digital and data science solutions for Clinical Development and Clinical Operations;

  • Proven track record in leading product developments, projects and virtual teams;

  • Knowledge of enterprise IT systems, data architecture, and data science;

  • Ability to translate between IT, scientific as well as technical experts;

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and courage to challenge and optimize ways or working and organizing;

  • Person of integrity and balanced personality, self-reflective, diplomatic and perseverant, good communicator and networker, assertive and resilient, strong can-do attitude delivering tangible outcomes and with the ability to lead by content;

  • Collaborates and holds each other accountable in and across teams;

  • Good self-organization, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities and make quick decisions.
