The Institutional Client Group (ICG) is responsible for driving the firm’s strategy and business development efforts with institutional investors and consultants, globally. Within ICG, the North America Institutional and Consultant Relations (NACR) team is tasked with developing new business opportunities and servicing existing relationships across North America while working in partnership with the Consultant Relations team to spread awareness of MIM’s investment capabilities with field consultants.
This role will directly support the firm’s goal of generating new business opportunities and actively promoting the firm’s platform across the pacific northwest territory of the United States of America. This role will involve direct engagement with the prospective clients, field consultants and current clients. Additionally, it is expected that this role will be the conduit for managing the day-to-day contact of all incoming requests within the defined territory and ensure that requests are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate sales target lists and develop successful strategies to promote MIM’s platform
Coordinate meeting materials (i.e. agendas, pre-meeting briefs, marketing materials, etc.) are well-organized and vetted to key internal stakeholders, as applicable
Serve as a point of contact in support of Sales Representatives for relationships in the pacific northwest
Maintain and ensure thoroughness of activity/notes and follow-up requests to be catalogued in Salesforce
Leverage Salesforce to identify current client, prospective client, or field consultant targets
Utilize available resources (i.e. MarketLens, MMD, etc.) to assist with the generation of business opportunities
Develop professional relationships with prospects and clients and lead quarterly investment review calls, as needed
Coordinate schedules between NACR and MIM’s Investment teams
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:
3-5 years of related experience in asset management and with institutional clients
Series 7 & 63 licenses required within six months of service at MIM.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Understanding of financial markets, as well as the role of consultants and institutional investors.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Self-starter with a drive to succeed, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Highly motivated team player with a collaborative mindset and strong interest in building a business in a complex and performance-oriented environment.
Strong active listening skills
Preferred:
Institutional asset management experience
Fixed income, private asset, real estate knowledge base
