Your role at Clorox:
Work Hours: 6:00 pm to 6:30 am
The Packaging Shift Coordinator is responsible for driving packaging results by effectively leading packaging personnel in the execution of daily packaging related activities. He or she acts as the liaison between the hourly work force and management, ensures timely and accurate information flow with Processing and Distribution, and provides innovative and sound tactical thinking to achieve the appropriate levels of operating performance and staffing levels.
In this role, you will:
Overall results and staffing owner for assigned area of Packaging department
Lead Packaging Department safety effort in support of zero incidences (includes responsible confrontation of safety violations and clipout/LOTO compliance).
Coordinate daily work floor activities by identifying work processes, preparing work schedules, and expediting workflow (includes, but not limited to, assigning people to work areas, ensuring checklists and CILs developed and utilized, and serving as liaison with temp services).
Plan and schedule the efficient operation of packaging including determining the appropriate staffing levels (includes determining min/max staffing by job description and effective vacation management).
Identify training needs and coordinate training and development activities to close training gaps
Work with planning group to ensure customer satisfaction and to manage material flows for efficient operations
Lead timely problem and conflict resolution efforts.
ensure timely and accurate communication flow of production-related information both within Packaging and throughout the Wheeling organization.
Drive department improvement initiatives consistent with the plant strategy
Ensure proper entries made into SAP, LEDS, OEE/downtime reporting, and all other packaging related systems
Perform any assigned duties that fall within the scope of this job as defined by management.
Drive plant continuous improvement efforts
What we look for:
Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience
Prior demonstration of effective leadership skills through a leadership role
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Exceptional integrity and demonstration of results ownership
Exceptional multi-tasking skills
Exceptional communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage conflicts in a diverse environment
Ability to participate in and lead TRACC implementation efforts, including AM, PM, FI and T&Q systems development
Using available information, demonstrate the ability to coordinate and prioritize in a manner that is most beneficial for plant operations
Excellent training skills.
Ability to understand and use network computer applications and electronic mail
Ability to understand or learn to read and create graphs and charts
Ability to make decisions using sound judgement based on available information
Successful completion of training as identified on Training Matrix
Ability to work overtime and/or a flexible schedule (may include weekends or holidays) as defined by critical business needs
Occasional travel may be required
Must be Level 4 or above
Starting Base Pay: $36.05 / hour
