Job Description
Our Client is one of the most multi-dimensional low and high density polyethylene extruders, printers, converters, and recyclers in the country. The responsibilities of the Maintenance Mechanic will be to perform various troubleshooting and repairs of machinery and facility equipment. Working in line with other technicians, the employee will be responsible for following a set preventative maintenance schedule and performing reactive maintenance as necessary.
Responsibilities
Perform various troubleshooting and repairs of machinery and facility equipment.
Follow a set preventative maintenance schedule.
Perform reactive maintenance as necessary.
Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient operation of equipment.
Utilize hand tools to perform maintenance tasks.
Interpret blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair machinery.
Essential Skills
2-3 years of manufacturing experience performing electromechanical maintenance.
2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics.
2+ years performing wiring and rewiring of machinery.
Experience interpreting schematics.
Experience interpreting mechanical prints.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Welding/Fabrication experience.
PLC Troubleshooting on Allen Bradley.
Extrusion Machinery maintenance.
Blow fill machinery maintenance.
Experience from a plastics company.

Work Environment
The work environment is organized but a little gritty. There are some plastic smells, but they are not too overwhelming due to good ventilation. The work hours are from 7:00am to 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch and 2 hours of guaranteed overtime which fluctuates throughout the year.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
