Job Description:The SCO Operations Manager oversees all day-to-day operations for their assigned clinical program or assigned facilities. This position manages and directs supply chain services for assigned facility to include, replenishment, put-away, receiving, distribution, and special orders. This position is responsible for the successful implementation of system initiatives and continuous improvement programs throughout their assigned facilities or clinical program including the monitoring and utilization of key performance indicators associated with projects. This position plans, organizes, directs, and staffs to maintain and improve functions. Scope

As a Supply Chain Operations Business Manager you need to know how to: Participate in the preparation of operational and capital budgets. Participate in fiscal accountability stewardship initiatives, operational and capital planning, annual operating plans. Prepare and present stewardship plans, reports, and other statistical data. Operate from a strategic perspective and assumes overall accountability and authority for respective areas that enhance the overall performance of site supply chain operations and the organization. Manage and facilitate operational improvements, workflow optimization, and organizational change through collaborative work relationships to enhance performance across the pharmacy team. Facilitate collaboration to share and implement best practices. Lead stewardship supply utilization projects across the hospital. Work with our clinical partners to achieve annual savings for the organization. Work with sourcing partners to maintain contract compliance while standardizing supplies across the site/system. Ensure all department products and services are provided in accordance with hospital needs and expectations. Identify and implement methods for reducing supply and equipment expenditures, lead teams and contribute to efforts to improve standardization and utilization, resulting in increased efficiency and customer satisfaction. Interact with all levels of SCL Prime Vendor to ensure the program is meeting and/or exceeding facility expectations. May perform direct supervision of others

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in business administration, natural science, or medical-related field, required- Five (5) years of previous experience with supply chain management and stewardship initiatives for cost savings, requiredPreferred: Masters degree or working toward a Masters degree for advancement- Certified Materials Resource Professional - CMRP- Lean certification - Green or Black Belt- Experience managing multiple supply chain cost savings projects across a medical organization- Understanding of supplies used in nursing and procedural areas

Looking for a strong candidate competent in ERP software, Excel, Word, strong leadership background.

Physical Requirements:Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.- and -Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.- and -Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.- and -Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and car y supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.- and -Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
