Intermountain Health General Maintenance Worker III in Wheat Ridge, Colorado

Job Description:

This is a position in the Facilities Management department. The position focuses on general maintenance and the caregiver may be assigned to work in a variety of areas of focus.

The Maintenance Worker III – General is able to work autonomously and with minimal supervision. They thoroughly understand safe work practices in a healthcare setting and can lead individuals or teams in accomplishing complex and difficult tasks.

Scope:

As a General Maintenance Worker III, you will need to know how to:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and repairing damaged walls or floors.

  • Perform complex maintenance tasks such as replacing plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, doors, and windows.

  • Assist with or leading the installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital equipment and systems.

  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and providing immediate assistance to resolve the issue.

  • Communicate effectively with all parties affected by maintenance operations.

  • Ensure infection control, patient privacy, and safety are considered and addressed in preparing for and performing work.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to work hard and to learn.

  • Extensive experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Extensive experience as a maintenance generalist or handyman is required.

  • A valid driver license may be required for this position.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$22.83 - $34.74
