Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Wexford, Pennsylvania
Description
Our client is looking for a receptionist with that will serve as the first point of contact for their patients at a medical office. Previous experience as a medical receptionist or administrative assistant in the medical/dental/healthcare field or in an insurance field is needed. As their practice is expanding, they need additional support. The ideal candidate is friendly, professional, and has basic computer and secretarial skills. Training will be provided by a senior staff member on-site. It is a contract role, and the role will primarily be in their Wexford office. It would be for 2-4 weeks. Hours are M-F, 7:30am-4pm and pay is $18 hourly. It is fully onsite with 3-4 days a week; office is closed 12-1 for lunch.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Operations
Greet patients upon arrival and provide excellent customer service.
Handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
Collect co-payments and other necessary fees.
Phone and Scheduling Management- Answer and route phone calls promptly and professionally.
Schedule patient appointments and manage office calendars.
Administrative Tasks as needed
Maintain and look up patients' medical records as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
• Previous experience as a medical receptionist or administrative assistant in the medical/dental/healthcare/insurance field.
• Basic knowledge of office equipment, including printers, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Soft Skills:
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Friendly demeanor and ability to interact with patients in a professional manner.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.
• High school diploma required; additional qualifications in secretarial or office administration are a bonus.
