Job Title: Assembler I, Assembly - Skilled

Job Description

As an Assembler I in the Assembly - Skilled role, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems to create subassemblies, assemblies, or complete units. This involves using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. You will fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements, as well as repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components, and electrical/electronic systems.

• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment.

• Fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements.

• Repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

• Follow detailed and defined rules/instructions and make simple judgments in straightforward situations.

Essential Skills

• Basic technical knowledge in assembly, blueprint reading, and mechanical assembly.

• Ability to follow detailed and defined rules/instructions.

• Capability to make simple judgments in straightforward situations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge acquired through experience, specialized education, or training.

• Ability to follow clearly defined procedures and tasks.

• No prior experience required.
